Today Tom and I had a very exciting day. We haven't been to the theatre in a long time, there just hasn't been anything on for us to watch. However earlier in the week we saw that The Theatre Royal Winchester was showing Dear Zoo, the popular children's book adapted for the stage.
Firstly I wanted to say how amazing the Winchester Theatre are. They always make it absolutely effortless for us. Even at the moment through all of their chaotic renovations they manage to ensure that we have a smooth trip. They always make the theatre very special for Tom. All of the staff are super friendly and will always talk directly to Tom, as anyone should but not everybody does. They couldn't do more for Tom. If you are in anyway hesitant of going to the theatre and live locally try the Theatre Royal Winchester, you will not be disappointed.

Tom was very happy to be back at the theatre as you can see by his beautiful smile. As I say we hadn't been for a while and as soon as we got in the auditorium Tom had a smile from ear to ear. We had our usual seats at the back right of the theatre, these are the ones we always ask for as we feel Tom is very safe here and we have enough room to get up and sort things out if we need to during the show without disturbing others.
The show itself was brilliant. It was very simply done with bright colours and catchy songs. There was a lot of audience interaction and participation and Tom seemed to really enjoy this. It was very similar to a Pantomime and Tom adores the Panto.
The actors and actresses were brilliant and really very engaging for the children. It was nice to hear them supporting the children in counting and reading. They would count to 3 or 4 and get the children to count along with them. This gave me lots of ideas for the future with Tom's eye gaze. Once we have the mount I think we can have a lot of fun with Tom shouting out in the theatre.

Dear Zoo was a lovely show and definitely worth a watch if it is coming to a theatre near you. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to return to The Theatre Royal Winchester soon.
See you next week.
