Dinosaur World Live

WOW what a wonderful day we have had! Today we all went to see Dinosaur World Live at the Kings Theatre in Portsmouth. We have had this show booked for a while and we have been looking forward to it but we weren't sure what to expect.

The show was incredible. It was so interactive for the children, many of them were invited up on the stage to help to look after the dinosaurs (feeding, brushing their feathers or walking them). Tom loves watching the show and hearing the dinosaurs roar! He found it very funny when the dinosaurs didn't behave themselves and wouldn't follow the rules!

There was a huge variety of different dinosaurs on display, from smaller bird dinosaurs (I don't know the technical term...oops, I promise I was listening!) To the big T-Rex! They were puppet style dinosaurs but they looked so realistic and the sound effects sounded so real too! It was at times a little scary, Tom wasn't scared though...the louder the better!

There was no real story to the show, it was more a fun factual show in which a lady would introudce all of her dinosaur friends and she would tell you lots of facts about them and get them to show you some tricks. It was really very impressive. The acting was great, the staging was fabulous and the dinosaurs were even better!

I haven't seen Tom smile as much at a show, he was loving it, he particularly loved the huge T-Rex.

After the show Tom could meet the baby T-Rex and also the baby Triceratops outside. He loved touching the dinosaurs and the people were really great at interacting with Tom. They really took their time to ensure Tom could take it all in! The whole thing brought a tear to my eye!

As always all of the staff at the Kings Theatre were amazing. They are very attentive to Tom's needs and wishes and they always ensure the best for him. They make going to the theatre so easy and relaxing.

Dinosaur World live is touring the UK, we would really recommend you go. It is really a show not to be missed!
