Happy New Year 2019...

Tom and I would like to wish all of our blog readers a very happy and healthy new year.

You'll notice there has been a lack of blog posts over the past couple of weeks. We have been so busy with Christmas activities that we haven't had a chance to sit down and write a blog post, but we are back and excited to write more posts for you all to enjoy.

Tom had a very busy Christmas period. He enjoyed doing lots of Christmas craft, meeting Santa (3 times) and visiting lots of different Pantomimes. In fact, Tom enjoyed the Winchester Panto so much that he is going back today to see it for the 3rd time!!

So what are our new years plans? What do we want to get from 2019?

2019 to me feels very exciting. I feel like Tom is making huge leaps with his learning already. His eye gaze communication development is so incredible that I am sure 2019 is the year Tom talks. In fact Tom is already talking with his eye gaze. He is able to string a few words together to create a meaningful short sentence. Currently this is very dependant on his mood, but as he learns that he is able to tell us exactly what he wants and it gives him complete control, i'm sure this is going to become much more consistent. I will always do everything in my power to help and support Tom to reach his full potential that we all know he holds.

My goal for 2019 is to ensure Tom has fun each and every day. I think we do a pretty good job of this already and so I want to maintain it. I need to ensure I am putting in the work to and researching and exploring different, new and exciting things to do as Tom learns and develops.

It is crazy that it is 2019 already. I started with Tom in 2016 and I honestly can say I have had the best 2 and a bit years of my whole entire life. Tom has taught me so much and he makes everyday a delight. I never have a day in which I don't smile and that is due to Tom. He is the most beautiful human being with such a naughty sense of humour. I cannot wait to see what fun 2019 holds for us.

So again Tom and I would like to wish everyone a very happy new year. We look forward to updating you on what adventures the year holds.

Keep your eyes peeled.
