October Roundup...

So as this will be the last Halloween themed blog post for another year Tom and I wanted to do a little round up of some of the things we have been up to and some of our most enjoyed activities. It is safe to say Tom and I have had a very busy, enjoyable and messy October!

This was our Halloween display board, it is full of lots of spooky activities and some shots of Tom in action. We use a Polaroid camera to catch Tom in the moment as we find that these memories are lovely to keep and we like being able to have a physical copy of the photo.

- Here we did some sensory potions. I found these little miniature potion bottles in Hobbycraft. They were very inexpensive but I knew instantly that wit would be great fun for Tom to make his very own sensory potion. In the first bottle on the right, Tom used glitter glue and water to create the gloopy base. He then poured in eyes to make them extra spooky. The next both has black paint and black glitter mixed in with water and glue. This one although you can't see in the picture is very spooky and gloopy. The next one is just simply glitter and water. The final potion is made from sensory scented paint and glitter. Tom enjoyed smelling all of the paints and choosing which one he wanted to put into his potion. We both had fun creating these bottles and we both got very messy with glitter.

- Brain jelly has to be one of my most enjoyable activities. Here Tom Is playing with jelly that we set using the brain mould, we have spoken about this in our other blog posts so be sure to check them out. I also set some body part jelly sweets in with the jelly so as Tom was playing with it all sorts of ears and noses came poking out. It was pretty gross but as you can see Tom enjoyed it!

- Finally another favourite was the spooky footprints. Tom and I create a lot of footprint crafts. If ever you have been lucky enough to receive a card from Tom you would have seen his creative toes. For Halloween we thought we would create some spooky inspired feet. Here you can see a ghost, a pumpkin and the smiliest Frankenstein you will ever see! Be sure to give these footprint crafts ago, they can make lovely cards to your loved ones, or just great fun to create.

This is just a few of our most favourite parts of Halloween month. We love a themed month and next month we are going to concentrate on bonfire themes activities. Keep reading the blogs to check out what Tom is up to!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
