Staunton Country Farm...

Yesterday Tom went to Staunton country farm with some of his friends. Staunton is a small petting farm that has lots for the children to do. It is around 30 minutes away from Tom so it is relatively close and not too far where you have to spend the whole day there. We popped down in the afternoon for a walk in the sunshine.

The accessibility of the farm was great. Tom was able to access every area of the farm in his wheelchair and they also had different viewing leveled for people in wheelchairs and children in buggies. On the day we went it was quiet so we were lucky because Tom could see everything with ease.

We first stopped off at the goats and Tom's friends fed the goats for Tom, we enjoyed watching the goats munch on their snacks and it was very funny when they wanted more as they would bash their horns up against the fence to get more feed! This made us laugh, naughty goats.

We then walked up to see the cows. These cows were gigantic! They were also very cheeky. Tom enjoyed watching the cows and funnily enough they weren't really that smelly compared to the goats! Tom's friends were all feeding the cows hay but I think we were best to stay out of this enourmous cows way! The lady cow took a particular liking to one of Tom's friends and gave him a big kiss on the top of his head when he wasn't looking! This made us all laugh so much.

We saw so many cute little animals along the way, adult ones and little babies! We saw pigs and piglets, cows and calves, goats, llamas, chickens, rheas, ginuea pigs, rabbits, quails, ducks, geese and even a ram!

Tom and his friends all decided to go into the hedge maze. Guided by the leader they all wound their way through the twists and turns and we found the centre of the maze! The boys loved the maze and the three of them were so funny asking each other which way to go. Although we found our way in pretty easily, getting out was a little more tricky, we ended up going around and around in circles before finally reaching the exit.

It was lovely for Tom to hang out with friends at the farm! What a lot of mischief they got up to! If you are around in Hampshire and fancy something fun to do, check out Staunton Farm it's great for all the family!
