This October Tom has big plans! As everybody knows October 31st is Halloween, however Tom and I like to celebrate and explore all things halloween for more than just one day! This is why we dedicate the WHOLE of October to Halloween themed activities. We wanted to let you know some of the things we are going to be getting up to so you can try them yourselves.

1) Brain play. Tom and I found a brain mould from Hobbycraft. We are going to use this for lots of different messy play ideas, such as jelly and blancmange. This mould will turn everyday messy play into a Halloween themed activity! The perfect way to keep things on theme.
2)Halloween book. All through October Tom and I are going to read the 'Amelia Fang' stories. these are all about monsters and pumpkins and so they make the perfect Halloween reading.
3) Halloween Crafts. As always Tom will be doing lots of crafts. The crafts we get up to throughout October will all be Halloween themed. Tom will be making his own bats, pumpkins, witches and lots more. We love to get creative for any theme or occasion.
4) Halloween baking. To will be making all sorts of Halloween treats. Tom has already started by making cupcakes with spiders webs onto. He is going to make some cookies, marshmallow ghosts and maybe even his own chocolate covered apples!
5) Pumpkin carving. Halloween wouldn't be complete without carving your own pumpkin. Tom will of course be doing this. But the other benefit to us is that we ca use the insides as a messy play activity.
These are just a few of the things that we will be getting up to throughout October. Be sure to keep checking the blogs to see some pictures of what we have been doing and see more of Tom's cheeky face.
