We are back! After a week long holiday Tom and I are back and ready to blog.
This week we wanted to share with you the books we have been loving over the past 2 months. 'Who Let The Gods Out?' by May Evans. Through out the blog I will refer to the book at WLTGO as it becomes a bit of a mouthful!

These 3 books are a little series the first book was WLTGO and this was a real introduction to all of the characters. The books are set in the modern day with a young boy, Elliot and his Mum, Josie. Josie isn't very well and so Elliot stumbles across the gods and tries to use them to find a way to help his mum but he has many bumps along the way.
The book is so funny, it is written in a way where depending on how you read it you can really make the characters come to life. There are lots of modern day references such as Hermes' IGod (Iphone). The book is a lot of fun for me to read to Tom as there is a lot of adult references in it.
The book tackles some heavy subjects in a way that make it easy for a child to understand. Topics such as Dementia, global warming and Family feuds. WLTGO is hugely heart warming and from the moment we picked it up we did not want to put it down!
The other Two books in the series are just as good. Simply the quest is the one to read afterwards and this one is as beautifully written as the first and is left on a huge cliff hanger! Then you read Beyond The Odyssey, Tom and I have nearly finished this one and we aren't sure what we will do afterwards! Check out the picture below to see one of our favourite parts of the last book

The books are great for all ages, they really don't have a limit, I think this is why we love them so much! Tom and I would seriously recommend them. I would advise buying all three as once you've read one you won't want to not read the others.
Happy Reading.
